Conversion of an old 1300sqm steel framed warehouse unit into a modern office and manufacturing facility.

The project involved the formation of new 1st floor office accommodation over half the area of the building, using composite concrete metal decking floor slab construction. All of the new columns required shallow bored piled foundations because the building is located on the site of an old backfilled quarry working.

The project also included re-cladding and re-modelling the entrance area with glazed curtain wall to form an open stair lobby area.

Project Architect was Barry Davies of Somerton and the value of the project was £550,000.
